Music database and marketplace Discogs has launched a new inventory platform for professional record sellers, the company announced Tuesday . Called, Discogs claims the platform will allow sellers to manage their inventory more quickly and efficiently.
“For years I ran a small business on Discogs as a side hustle, always looking for better ways to minimize the mundane data processes to focus my time on finding better collections to buy and grow the business,” said NearMint creator and managing directorin a press release. “I had been looking for a tech solution for a long time, but never found something and eventually started working on my own, which turned into NearMint.
NearMint currently offers direct integration to Discogs, which will allow sellers to create new listings either one by one or in bulk using advanced file upload and auto-matching functionality. The platform offers a range of features, including separate logins for employees, change logs per item, comment templates, a dashboard providing reports on inventory, the option of adding quantity and tags and changing prices per item or in bulk.
To create the platform, Discogs interviewed over a hundred sellers and invited several to join the NearMint beta program, which already manages over 1.9 million inventory items. The company will soon roll out the platform to more sellers worldwide.
