"Never thought I would ever see my name credited on TOEI Co. Japan’s website," he said. "This is the official annoucement for @voltesvlegacy as a fully licensed franchise." Toei Company is the original maker of "Voltes V." In the statement posted on their website, they talked about the popularity of the classic anime in the Philippines, which first aired in the country in the '70s., Toei credited GMA for producing such an expensive project and its director Mark Reyes "who has both skill and experience in live-action films in the Philippines."
