Dillard’s has settled its dispute with Rolling Oaks Mall over ownership of the department store space it occupies at the Northeast Side mall.

Dillard’s and the owner of the Rolling Oaks Mall have settled a dispute over the store space that the retailer occupies at the mall.

The transfer occurred after Dillard’s dismissed a lawsuit it had filed in Houston bankruptcy court, where mall owner Washington Prime Group Inc. of Columbus, Ohio, and affiliates had entered Chapter 11 reorganization in June 2021. A Washington Prime spokeswoman declined to comment. Dillard’s representatives didn’t respond to a request for comment.

In its suit, Dillard’s said the previous mall owner — Simon Property Group — agreed in the late 1980s to convey it land in exchange for the retailer opening a store at the mall.
