Motorists should expect mixed movements in pump prices of petroleum products in the coming week, local oil industry sources said Friday.

Citing oil trading in the past four days, an oil industry source told GMA News Online that the price per liter of diesel may roll back by P0.30 to P0.50.In an interview on Super Radyo dzBB, Oil Industry Management Bureau Director Rino Abad said that there is a “suspected very tight movement” in pump prices.

"Ang diesel, posibleng may decrease na hindi lalagpas ng P1 [For diesel, there’s a possible decrease of not over P1],” he added. Effective last Tuesday, December 20, fuel firms implemented a per liter price hike in gasoline by P0.70, diesel by P2.90, and kerosene by P1.65.
