Homelander is the most iconic supe in The Boys, but did he attend to Godolkin University? Gen V and the other shows already have an answer.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Homelander is one of the most iconic supes from The Boys, causing many fans to wonder if he attended the university in Gen V. Gen V is all about Godolkin University, a Vought-run school for supes that Marie and the rest of the gang attend in the spin-off series. Gen V has already confirmed that plenty of characters from The Boys used to attend Godolkin University, but Homelander is one glaring exception.
Gen V is finally out, with season 1 of the highly-anticipated spin-off of Amazon Prime Video's The Boys now releasing. Several The Boys characters have cameod in Gen V, including major supes like A-Train, The Deep, and more. While many members of The Boys' main cast have appeared, Homelander hasn't popped up yet. It would make sense for Gen V to delve into the backstory of the villainous supe, as many viewers still don't know if he attended Godolkin University.
Homelander Did Not Attend Godolkin University Before The Boys Although the series hasn't directly said this, it is pretty clear that Homelander didn't attend Godolkin University before The Boys. The biggest clue for this comes in Tek-Knight's video in episode 4, with it listing several prominent alumni. Queen Maeve, A-Train, The Deep, and Tek-Knight himself are mentioned, but there is no trace of Homelander anywhere.
Homelander may not have attended Godolkin University, and The Boys has already confirmed why. The main series as well as the animated spin-off The Boys Presents: Diabolical have confirmed that Homelander was kept in captivity by Vought when he was young. This means that he didn't attend college at all, explaining his absence from Godolkin University.
Why Godolkin University Still Has A Homelander Statue Despite Homelander not being an alumni of Godolkin University, the college still has a statue of him. This seems like quite a strange choice, as most of the other statues at Godolkin University are of supes who attended the school. However, this isn't always the case. Godolkin also has a statue of Soldier Boy, who didn't attend Godolkin due to the school not existing at the time. Homelander seemingly fits into this trend as well.
