DFW Weather: Dangerous heat continues for North Texas this weekend
Excessive Heat Warnings issued for Dallas-Forth Worth and other North Texas locations. Heat index could reach over 110° this afternoon.Excessive Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories continue
A heatwave continues this weekend. Dangerous heat continues the next several days with a ridge of high pressure move directly over our area. High pressure brings on highs near or at 100 degrees with little to no rain chances. A constant southerly wind keeps humidity high. Higher temps and higher humidity bring heat indices over 110° at times.
As of now, Excessive Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories continue to be in effect for all of North Texas. This is likely to be extended each day this weekend and possibly into next week. Heat Advisories are in place for heat index values of 105° to 110°. Excessive Heat Warnings are issued for heat index values over 110°. Most of the area stays rain-free over the next two weeks. Some to the northwest could see rain late Sunday, but it looks rain-free for most. Our next chance will be near and just after the 4th of July. Right now, the chances are low.
