The Department of Agriculture has allowed partner lenders to charge a two percent interest rate on a state-funded loan program for small farmers and fisherfolk. The program, called Agri-Negosyo or ANYO Loan, aims to finance agricultural businesses. Previously, the loan program did not allow lenders to charge interest, only a one-time service fee.
Under the program, borrowers can receive up to P300,000 for micro agri-negosyo loans and a minimum of P300,000 and a maximum of P15 million for small-agri negosyo loans
