On Friday into Saturday, snow fell throughout the area, with some spots receiving more than 10 inches. Overnight, Interstate 70 was shut down in multiple stretches along the mountain corridor, according to the Colorado State Patrol. The highway stretches, including Vail Pass, have reopened Saturday morning. Officials urge motorists to drive cautiously. In Denver, snow showers are likely before 2 p.m. Saturday, turning to rain showers after 3 p.m., the weather service said. Thunder is possible Saturday afternoon. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a high temperature near 45 degrees.
