Defending champion National University headlines Season 2 of the Shakey's Super League (SSL) collegiate preseason volleyball championship which starts this weekend at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
With Season 1 Most Valuable Player Alyssa Solomon and former UAAP Rookie-MVP Bella Belen leading the way, the Lady Bulldogs are favored to dominate the 16-team tournament anew.All 10 NCAA teams and six of eight UAAP teams are set to compete in the preseason games that will run from September 6 to November 12, 2023.
'Philippine Sports Commission commissioner Fritz Gaston was also in attendance. NU is slotted in pool A with San Sebastian, Jose Rizal University and University of the East bannered by super rookie Casiey Dongallo, who was named MVP in the Shakey's Girls Volleyball Invitational League national high school tournament last summer.
