A hit and run with a police vehicle shuts down a Tacoma intersection, a man is arrested for retail theft in Bellevue, and an update on a shooting in Tacoma last Sunday.
A man in Bellevue, identified as Brandon Bussey, has been arrested and charged with organized retail theft and trafficking stolen property on Thursday, June 30.He had an estimated $4,000 worth of stolen items in his car.arranged a meeting with Bussey on OfferUp, to purchase a cat sky tower, which he had stolen from the Bellevue Fred Meyers.
Charging documents from the incident show that the shooting likely happened due to a decade and a half-long feud stemming from the death of a 29-year-old mother in 2009. Two brothers, Kacy and Jacy Estes, showed up at the home of a man identified only by his initials A.L., accusing him of being a “snitch” for the police to get a lighter sentence in the 2009 case. Both men appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the confrontation.
Video surveillance shows the argument escalating when A.L.’s wife maced Jacy before he shot A.L. four times in the back when he tried to run away. Several more shots can be heard including one that struck Jacy in the upper back and one that hit Kacy in the calf. It is unclear at this time who shot the Estes brothers.Both men have been arrested, Kacy Estes entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment on Wednesday, and Jacy is still in the hospital recovering from his gunshot wound.
