Kentucky's governor expects it to take weeks to find all of the flood victims after flash flooding and heavy rains wreaked havoc on various small towns.
Authorities in Kentucky confirmed by Friday that at least 19 people have been killed by flooding in the eastern part of the state where small towns were hit with heavy rain and flash flooding this week.
Gov. Beshear said rescue workers estimate it could take weeks to find all of the flood victims. The rain continued to hit eastern Kentucky into Friday before letting up giving rescue workers and residents a small reprieve. As cleanup efforts begin from the flooding, a relief fund has been launched to help in those efforts.
