New friendships can and do still happen all the time. Here are some ideas.

My husband and I moved just before the pandemic. We didn’t meet many people because we made sure to social distance and limit going to too many places. Now that we’re going out a little more, I’m wondering how women of a particular age can start new friendships.I’m going to start with a yes. You can make friends as an adult, but it may not be as easy to make friends as it was in younger days.

Once you go to a few online meetings, then you can see who you click with to meet in person. Churches, exercise classes and chamber events are other opportunities to meet people in person. Remember to have an open mind. None of us are perfect. Plus, you don’t want a clone of yourself. Just be friendly and a friend you shall get.
