DCAC holding training on investigating child drownings

For kids, drowning is all too common. It's the second leading cause of"accidental" death to children in the U.S. But as many as 20% of these drownings are actually the result of foul play.

So on Monday, Dallas' best and bravest, are gathered for an aquatics training session at Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, complete with a dive team. They will be trained with the latest technologies and capabilities for solving child death cases due to drowning. Sadly, DCAC’s research has also found that very few drowning incidents are investigated, and those that are investigated are often conducted in hindsight when crucial scene evidence no longer exists.

KRLD's John Liddle talked with Mark Bradford - Chief External Relations Officer at DCAC about today's training.
