Police in D.C. have arrested the murder suspect who escaped from police custody while at the George Washington Hospital back in early September.

Police and U.S. Marshals Capital Fugitive Task Force said that 30-year-old Christopher Haynes was found and arrested in Oxon Hill, Maryland around 10:30 a.m.
Haynes escaped on Sept. 6 while being treated at the GW Hospital after complaining of ankle pain shortly after being arrested. While at the hospital officers were changing his handcuffs when escaped from them, briefly prompting a lockdown. Since that time, he has been seen multiple times in public and made efforts to hide in numerous locations. Officials could not confirm if any other people would face charges.As the nation fixates on a Pennsylvania manhunt, a DC murder suspect is on the run and off the radarAn internal investigation into whether officers followed proper protocol to safely transfer him to the hospital is under investigation.
