A neighborhood in Daybreak was abuzz with curiosity when a local family found their front door buried with a pile of empty USPS boxes.
The family expressed confusion and lightheartedness when they realized the packages were addressed to a recipient resembling a familiar name. "I think somebody might be pranking us given the name that seems mysteriously close to Casper the Ghost", wrote Elissa Chavez online.Chavez went on to ask if the boxes were perhaps misdelivered in the community, also adding in the community post, "Does anyone need some flat rate boxes for a sick box fort?".
Nonetheless, the incident has sparked speculation online about a possible nationwide prank to spam the postal service. Some commenters suggested that these boxes, which are available for free, might be the result of indiscriminate ordering and shipping.2News reached out to both the Chavez family and USPS. We asked USPS if they were aware of a possible prank where the postal services boxes were being delivered in high numbers to residents' homes."Our Priority Mail shipping supplies are a quick, easy, and convenient way for customers to ship their Priority Mail packages.
