MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.0 earthquake rattled Davao Oriental on Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
In a report, state seismologists said the tectonic quake was detected at 6:05 a.m. and that its epicenter was located 58 kilometers southeast of the biggest province in the Davao Region. Its depth of focus was 125 kilometers.According to Phivolcs, Instrumental Intensity II was logged in the municipality of Don Marcelino while Instrumental Intensity I was recorded in the municipality of Jose Abad Santos, both in Davao Occidental.
