The play call comes in, here’s the intent, here’s the situation, now what’s the defense doing? He’s got 1,000 things to think of at about five or six seconds before the ball’s snapped. Changing that mentality is part of the risk-reward.

Jones’ modest total of 15 touchdown passes in 2022 was 21st in the league, tied with Marcus Mariota, who threw 172 fewer passes for the Falcons than Jones attempted for the Giants.
