The Giants quarterback indicated he still feels the effects of his neck injury that sidelined him for the team’s Week 6 loss to the Bills on Sunday.
Jones said Tuesday during his weekly appearance on the “Up and Adams Show”“I’m not gonna get specifically into what exactly they are. But I’m trying hard to get back, still dealing with it a little bit, but trying to do everything I can to heal up and prove to the doctors and trainers that I’m ready to go. That Jones is still dealing with symptoms does not bode well for his ability to play in the Giants’ Week 7 clash against the Commanders.
There had been initial hope Jones would not miss any time since he avoided the same neck injury that forced him to miss six games in 2021, but that optimism quickly waned.“It’s tough not playing,” Jones said. “You want to be out there, with the team, with the guys, and help win. I thought we played well, played hard, just came up a little short there at the end. It was a tough way to finish. I thought we played well, I thought Tyrod certainly played well, too.
