Dallas County reported 59 more COVID-19 deaths and 3,333 new coronavirus cases in the last week. The case figure is about half what was reported in the previous seven-day period.

Of the new cases, 2,670 were confirmed and 663 were probable. The numbers bring the county’s overall case total to 564,494, including 466,145 confirmed and 98,349 probable. The death toll is 5,947. The average number of new daily cases in the county for the last two weeks is 780. For the previous 14-day period, the average was 3,299.According to the state, 1,329,539 people in Tarrant County have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 1,168,903 — 60.1% of the county’s population 5 and older — are fully vaccinated.The state added 35 deaths and 1,642 cases to Collin County’s totals in the last week. In the previous seven-day period, 2,839 cases were reported.
