Despite a lack of wins and a visible reduction in racing appearances, NASCAR icon Dale Earnhardt Jr. is not ready to put the brakes on his career just yet, according to his sister, Kelley Earnhardt, co-owner of JR Motorsports.At 49 years old, Dale Jr., a significant figure in the sport due to his family legacy, has yet to clinch a Cup Series championship and was recently replaced in his iconic No.88 Chevy by up-and-coming driver Connor Zilisch.
Kelley indicated that there are ongoing discussions about his next steps, and a plan is in motion for his return to a higher level of racing.'I don't want to say he's done Xfinity racing, but we don't have anything on the map right now for him. It could just change; we've got a lot of balls falling and rising right now. Over the next month or so, hopefully it'll all come together, and we'll have an exact plan,' she explained.
