A CSX Corp. CSX train derailed in West Virginia early Wednesday. The empty coal train struck a rockslide in Sandstone, W. Va, at 4:51 a.m., causing it to derail, CSX said, in a statement. “Preliminary information indicates that all four of the train’s locomotives and nine empty coal cars derailed,” the company added, noting that the lead locomotive had three crew members on board.
