The potential tropical cyclone is also headed toward Florida, packing wind and rain that brought flooding to Havana and began impacting the Florida Keys Friday afternoon.“It certainly is kind of an uncanny reminder that here we are at the beginning of the hurricane season and already we are having a tropical discussion," Dan Summers, director of emergency services and emergency management in Collier County, told weather.com in a phone call Friday morning.
Tropical storm warnings are in effect for the entire southern half of Florida. Some flights are canceled or delayed at airports in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.
