Insights focused on leveraging resources, avoiding duplication, and best practices for providing essential services to migrants while prioritizing onward travel, Barbara Jiménez, community operations officer with the county’s Department of Homeless Solutions and Equitable Communities, said during Tuesday's board meeting. Additional recommendations included providing multilingual, trauma-informed and culturally responsive services to migrants, Jiménez said.
