The first Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro leaks might have arrived less than a month after Google launched the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
, Google is working on two smartphones that are codenamed “Shiba” and “Husky.” The site admits that it does not actually know what these devices are, but the specifications do seem to point to two flagship devices.
The report notes that Shiba and Husky feature a new processor which is being developed by Google and Samsung. The new chip, codenamed “Zuma,” reportedly has the same 5G G5300 modem as the Tensor G2 chip that shipped with the Pixel 7 series.WinFuture’s sources also suggest that the two models will feature 12GB of RAM, which would match that of the Pixel 7 Pro. As for the displays, the Shiba has a resolution of 2268 x 1080 pixels, while the Husky has a resolution of 2822 x 1344. Compare that to the 2400 x 1080 resolution of the Pixel 7 and to the 3120 x 1440 resolution of the Pixel 7 Pro. That’s quite a dropoff for two flagship phones.
