A police officer fatally shot his wife inside a police station in the City of Naga, southern Cebu on Christmas Day.
STAFF Sgt. Fernando Mata is detained after he fatally shot his wife on Christmas Day inside the City of Naga Police Station in Cebu.
Lt. Col. Junnel Caadlawon, chief of the City of Naga police, identified the victim as Heronia Mata, a 39-year-old teacher. Police said Heronia was inside the Women and Children’s Protection Desk processing her complaint when Fernando barged in at 2:40 p.m. and repeatedly shot his wife with his service firearm.The victim died on the way to the hospital.
