“My mom’s dead. I killed her,” Eric Meagan allegedly told the dispatcher in the 911 call. “Yeah, I had to. I had to do it to keep the demons away.”
A Connecticut man allegedly confessed to drowning his mother in a park river earlier this week in a 911 call — telling the dispatcher he was forced to do it to “keep the demons away,” chilling audio of the call shows.
The son allegedly admitted to police that he dragged his mom into the river on Monday morning and held her underwater for roughly 10 minutes until she stopped moving.“How did you kill her?” the dispatcher could be heard asking.Asked if he was still hearing the demons, Meagan told the dispatcher: “I was feeling them.”
Meagan, who stayed on the phone for several minutes as he described the slaying, was taken into custody a short time later after giving police his exact location along the river.
