Thai-American Tyler Lamb has nothing but respect and admiration for the Philippines.

Since suiting up for Thailand in the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the 6-foot-5 Lamb had the chance to pit skills against Gilas Pilipinas.'I always look forward to matching up with the Philippines,' Lamb told the Manila Times. 'I've been battling with a lot of these guys since the 2017 Malaysia SEA Games. Much respect to the whole organization and I think coach Tim Cone is doing a great job of coaching them.

But when Gilas flexed its muscles behind June Mar Fajardo, along with its armada of shooters burying threes, Thailand eventually went down with a loud thud. The Philippines bamboozled Thailand, 115-81 to capture the gold before its adoring mammoth Filipino fans at the Mall of Asia Arena.'Obviously, June Mar is always tough to try and contain,' shared Lamb, who led Thailand with 33 point in the 2019 edition.
