The Commission on Elections on Monday warned that it will sanction candidates who will skip the debates sponsored by the agency that will kick off next week.Comelec acting chairman Socorro Inting urged candidates to attend the event during the signing of an agreement with Vote Pilipinas to co-produce five presidential and vice presidential debates called the 'Pilipinas Debates 2022: The Turning Point,' a series of debates to be held at Sofitel Hotel in Pasay City.
The group will organize the first presidential debate on March 19; first vice presidential debate on March 20; second presidential debate on April 3; vice presidential town hall debate on April 23 and presidential town hall debate, April 24.'The public debate is the only avenue where you will witness all candidates side by side with each other,' Inting said.
