"Ngunit araw araw po kaming mananawagan na sana po, mabigyan nila ng pansin at oras ang pagpaparehistro at samantalahin ang pagkakataon na: 1. karamihan po ay nasa bakasyon na, lalo na ang nga mag-aaral 2. karamihan po ay tumutungo sa malls para mamili at mamasyal 3. Kasama pong bigyan ng prioridad ang pagpaparehistro para po hindi na sila maabala sa siguradong pagdami ng magpapatala sa Enero," Laudiangco added.
The Commission on Elections on Wednesday appealed to the public to register during the holiday season to avoid long queues as a result of last-minute voter registration.
"[H]indi pa ganun kataas ang pagpaparehistro...Maaari po kasing busy pa talaga ang mga kababayan natin sa mga huling pagtitipan at pagtitipon para sa Kapaskuhan. Nauunawaan naman po namin ito," he said in a Viber message to reporters. "Mananatili pong bukas ang lahat ng tanggapan ng Comelec upang irehistro ang ating mga kababayan. Muli po, ang panawagan namin ni Chairman [George] Garcia, at ng lahat ng tanggapan ng Comelec sa buong bansa, magparehistro ng maaga para makaiwas sa abala," he said.
