THE Commission on Elections said Friday, March 11, 2022, that it is set to open its doors to poll observers now that the coronavirus disease restrictions have been eased.
"We are in a new environment now. That will, of course, give more room for more observers to pay attention to these venues that we have," said Jimenez. The poll official said this would mean that more observers will be more welcome in the different areas where the Comelec operates. Last Wednesday, March 9, poll watchdogs criticized the Comelec for refusing to be observed in doing its preparations for the May 9 elections.
