The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will establish makeshift voting centers in the May 2022 polls.
Comelec/MBComelec Executive Director Bartolome J. Sinocruz, Jr. said the makeshift voting centers will make use of wooden materials as it will be temporary in nature.
“These are temporary in nature. We will just approximate the size of polling rooms enough to accommodate the number of voters,” he said during the signing of their memorandum of agreement with the Commission on Higher Education in Manila on Thursday, April 21.He, however, assured that the election paraphernalia to be used in the affected polling precincts have not been damaged.
As for the voting machines, consolidation and canvassing systems, and BGAN, Sinocruz said, they were not damaged by “Agaton.”
