The Commission on Elections announced that preparations are progressing rapidly for the 2025 midterm elections, despite a Supreme Court order that did not include an injunctive writ.
Comelec Chairperson George Garcia expressed relief and determination in light of the Supreme Court’s decision not to interfere with the election preparations. The Supreme Court has given Comelec and Miru Systems 10 days from receipt of notice to submit their comments on the petition and the application for a TRO and/or writ of preliminary injunction.
