Through willpower and hard work, Debbra Sweet overcame a life-altering injury to renew her childhood dream of pursuing music and performing
Debbra Sweet hasn’t served in the military, but she knows the terror of post-traumatic stress, depression and suicidal thoughts.
These maladies sent her door-to-door consulting an army of doctors, neurologists, chiropractors, acupuncturists and physical therapists. She read books on nutrition and changed her diet. She moved to San Diego County in 1989 and pursued a career in promotional sales, marketing and motivational speaking. She married a musician and gave birth to two sons, now ages 21 and 23. She also re-ignited her own love of music which she had studied in college in Wisconsin.Cher, too, had experienced trials in life, and was continually reinventing herself through her singing and acting career. She became a symbol of resiliency and women empowerment.
Singer Cher re-invented herself from folksy, to diva to rock star personas. Debbra Sweet made costumes to portray the various periods.
