The 2024 total solar eclipse! It is here! We are starting the day in Central Ohio with rain showers and thick clouds. This morning rain will move east and the thick clouds will follow. Morning temps in the lower 50s. Through the morning the thick clouds will move east and sunshine coming out midday with some high thin cirrus clouds filling in for part of the state. So the sun may be filtered for the eclipse. The partial eclipse starts just before 2 p.m and ends around 4:30 pm.
Tonight more clouds will arrive from the south and we may have a few rain showers to the south with low temps around 53. Tuesday starts dry for most of Ohio with mostly cloudy skies then warming to a high around 72 and some late-day rain possible. 60% chance of rain later tomorrow. High chance of rain for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We could have some rumbles of thunder, especially Thursday. Gusty winds possible Thursday and Friday. High temps in the mid-upper 60s for Wednesday and Thursday, but cooling down to only a high around 56 on Friday with the rain finally leaving. I do not anticipate rain the entire second half of the week, but it will remain wet with the rain on and off. Flooding also possible with our soil already very saturated from last week.
Drier for the weekend with more sun returning. High around 66 on Saturday with mostly sunny skies. Partly cloudy Sunday with a high of 71 and a slim chance for rain late. Have a good one!
