After a districtwide update to metal detectors in Columbus City Schools, some students say they wait in a long line outside to get screened to be allowed inside

According to the district, an upgrade to the Evolv detectors increased their sensitivity, leading to wait times at some buildings. "By the time you get into your classroom, you’re either on time and it’s practically empty, or you’re late and it’s still pretty empty, because there are still people behind you trying to get into the building," she said. "When I timed it I got around 21 minutes outside, but there was still three more buses that came after me."
