Watt this season, he has dominated and taken over games. So far, it appears that teams are trying to chip Watt more than double team him, as no one has a higher chip rate than Watt in the NFL.
“Everybody knows he’s a potential Hall of Famer,” Richardson said. “...He’s pretty strong, physical, so we definitely have a few things for him, so he doesn’t get to the quarterback.” Watt has a sack in each of the first three games. His battle with Chargers right tackle Joe Alt was one that started in Alt’s favor, but Watt started to crack through the longer the game went along. Meanwhile, Smith is the toughest test for Watt yet this year. The Colts offensive line as a whole is playing at a high level, but if the Steelers can defensive line and Watt can break through, they can cause havoc against what is supposed to be a strength for the Colts.
