The game status for Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has been revealed.
The Indianapolis Colts will be without star running back Jonathan Taylor for their Week 5 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Taylor has been dealing with a high ankle sprain and it has caused him to miss practice all week.He suffered the injury last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.While Taylor will be forced to miss this game, the injury isn't considered to be a serious one. There was some hope that Taylor could play in this game but the team decided to let him heal completely.
Indianapolis grabbed their first win of the new year last week against the Steelers so they will try to take down Jacksonville without their star.With Taylor missing this contest, backup Trey Sermon will likely take the role as the starter for the Colts. He has rushed the ball nine times this season, posting 24 yards on the ground with one touchdown.The team is going to need Sermon to step up heavily with Taylor out. But he has proved himself before.
