Collision on SR-76 involving suspected DUI driver leaves motorcyclist critically injured [Breaking]
A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries Monday night after he was hit by a car driven by a suspected drunken driver on state Route 76 in Oceanside, police said.
The crash happened shortly before 6:15 p.m. on eastbound SR-76 near Benet Road, said police spokesperson Jennifer Atenza. The injured rider, a man, was transported to a trauma center. His age was not released.Eastbound lanes of SR-76 were closed from Benet Road to Foussat Road as police investigated the crash. Lanes reopened after 10 p.m.
The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a trauma center. The motorist was arrested at the scene for suspicion of DUI.— Oceanside Police
