Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — A processing error is currently putting college dreams in limbo.

The new version of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form was meant to simplify the application process for financial aid and Pell Grants."I’ve been in financial aid for about 35 years, and this is by far the most difficult year I have ever experienced," Dye said.
Ashley Foster, a counselor at Hilton High School, said the unknowns of FAFSA delays are causing significant anxiety for high school seniors. Foster said a number of colleges have moved their deposit deadlines from May 1 to later dates to help ease the stress of FAFSA delays, and she anticipates more will follow suit.
