The United States Coast Guard is searching for a 17-year-old boy who went missing Saturday night while fishing near Freeport.
Galveston police reported that the boy went missing about 8:30 p.m. while wade fishing near the San Louis Pass Bridge, the Coast Guard said. The boy is 5-foot-8, 120 pounds and was wearing blue shorts and no shirt when he went missing, officials said.The National Weather Service's Houston-Galveston office warned that strong rip currents were possible near Galveston on Saturday.
