A one-bedroom cliff-side cottage that appeared in BBC 's Poldark has sold for £423,000 after two days of bidding. Porthscylla, the detached property in Cornwall, has stunning beach views.
Bidding for the property, which has views over one of Cornwall's best beaches, began on Monday at a guide price of £395,000 before nearly £30,000 was added to the value over two days of offers.
Porthscylla was sold with 0.8 hectares of mostly cliff land as well as permission in principle from Cornwall Council for demolition and replacement Clive Emson Auctioneers said: 'There's not many places you can stay where you've got Porthcurno on your doorstep as a beach and Minack Theatre as your neighbour.'The cottage has stunning ocean views of Porthcurno - which appeared as Nampara Cove in Poldark
They added: 'Something like this offered to the auction market in such a truly beautiful un-spoilt location really is an absolute rarity.'
