Clerk at Normal Heights liquor store robbed at gunpoint [Breaking]

San Diego police were searching for two men who robbed a clerk at a liquor store in Normal Heights on Monday night, authorities said.

At around 10 p.m., officers responded to reports of two robbers at the Twins Liquor store on Meade Avenue, near 36th Street and Cherokee Avenue. One of them displayed a gun and demanded a clerk hand over cash from a register, according to the San Diego Police Department. Police said the store clerk complied, giving money from the register and a cellphone to the robbers. The clerk was not injured.One suspect was described as a man in his 20s, about 5-foot-7, wearing a black hoodie, gray sweatpants and black-and-white Nike shoes. The other was described as around 25 years old with short hair, wearing a black hoodie and gray-and-black sweatpants.
