A Clear Lake High School student is facing criminal and disciplinary consequences after a handgun was found in the student’s backpack on Wednesday morning, officials say.
According to a letter to parents from the principal, an investigation into a "student discipline matter" resulted in a search by police.FOX 26 Houston is now on the FOX LOCAL app available through Apple TV, Amazon FireTV, Roku, Google Android TV, and Vizio!During the search, a school liaison officer found a gun in the student’s backpack, and the student was immediately detained, the principal says."At no time did this student display the weapon or threaten to cause harm.
