Adriana Rocha and the District 4 Council Office met with representatives to discuss potential water disconnections at local multi-family complexes.
They met with representatives from multiple departments, including the San Antonio Water System, to discuss efforts to help tenants who are facing water disconnections due to their landlord's failure to pay water bills. “I want to ensure landlords address delinquent accounts so that tenants are not left in a state of crisis caused by water disconnections. My hope is that we can augment our efforts and outreach strategies. The City of San Antonio and SAWS, with the support of nonprofit partners, can work collaboratively to alleviate the impact on residents from bearing the brunt of these water disconnections caused by irresponsible landlords," said Rocha.
