Tyler Treese: Christian, the Chupacabra is a more modern myth, being born out of the ’90s. How familiar were you with this legend and how fun was it learning all about it for this role?Truthfully, I wasn’t that familiar with the Chupacabra, so reading the script was eye-opening and insightful. I mean, I’d heard certain things about it — the interpretation was that it was a very scary, mystical creature that not a lot of people knew anything about.
He did! He did it for real [Laugh]. I mean, this guy really practiced. We rehearsed — and he was much more gentle in the rehearsals.Then when it came time to shoot, he really let me have it. But let’s not spoil that.Demián Bichir:
