Albay Representative Joey Salceda, one of the authors of a bill granting Chinese businessman Li Duan Wang Filipino citizenship, has denied allegations that Wang has ties to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs). Salceda stated that Wang has no business relationship with POGO firms and that accusations linking him to a POGO boss are unfounded. He emphasized that even if there were any links to POGOs, it wouldn't automatically be considered illegal as POGOs were legal when they were operating.
