CHINA and Japan lauded the Philippines for its smooth conduct of national elections as they look forward to working with the incoming new administration.The Chinese Embassy in Manila on Wednesday shared the remark of Zhao Lijian, China's foreign ministry spokesman, when asked to comment on the Philippines presidential election.'China congratulated the Philippines on the smooth presidential election.
Our congratulations also go to the leading candidates,' Zhao said'We hope and believe that various political forces in the Philippines will continue to work in solidarity for national renewal and development,' he added.Meanwhile, Japanese Ambassador to Manila Koshikawa Kazuhiko turned to Twitter to congratulate the Philippines for its conduct of the 2022 national elections.
