The competitive cook won the Reserve Grand Champion last year, but Saturday he walked away with the Grand Champion prize.But the most important prize? Bragging rights. “That’s what most of these guys are after,” said Stephen Stokinger, Bar-B-Que Committee Chairman, with a chuckle.Purvis’ team, Chicken Fried BBQ, beat out more than 289 others from across the globe who competed in the cook-off this weekend.
