After over 50 years in business, the first ever Chick-fil-A restaurant to open is closing its doors for good, but you still have a few more days to get a sandwich and a lemonade.
In 1967, Truett Cathy opened the first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Atlanta's Greenbriar Mall on Greenbriar Parkway.
In the decades since, the Georgia restaurant chain has opened nearly 3,000 restaurants across the country.Chick-fil-A, one of the largest family-owned restaurant chains in the U.S., rose from humble beginnings as a small diner in a suburb of Atlanta.
