Zendaya staves off two eager suitors, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist, in a new clip Amazon/MGM has shared for Luca Guadagnino’s latestThe film, set for a theatrical release on April 26, follows Tashi Duncan , a former tennis prodigy turned coach and a force of nature who makes no apologies for her game on and off the court.
Today’s clip, titled ‘Asking For Your Number,’ shows Zendaya’s Duncan in what seems to be an early scene in the film as Faist and O’Connor’s characters attempt to flirt their way into a late-night rendezvous with Duncan. is produced by Amy Pascal, Guadagnino, Zendaya, and Rachel O’Connor. Bernard Bellew serves as the film’s executive producer. Music is by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The screenplay was written by Justin Kuritzkes.
The tennis drama will land in cinemas next month — a year after it was pulled as the opening film of the 2023 Venice Film Festival due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. MGM originally set the pic for a September 15, 2023 release.
